FAQ

Will Massage Hurt?

Short answer is “No”. Therapeutic work is done in the “hurts so good” pressure. This varies for everyone individually. A common misconception in the massage world is that you need deep tissue massage to see therapeutic benefits. Though this is true for some, massage is never ‘one-size-fits-all’. During your session, you’ll want to toe the line between pain and relaxation. Make sure you keep an honest and open communication between you and your therapist so you can get the most out of your session.

Will I be naked?

Before your session you will be asked to undress to your level of comfort. For most, this means taking everything other than the bottom underwear off or completely naked, but it is completely up to you and what you’re comfortable with. At all times you will be fully draped. This means that nothing that will be uncovered that shouldn’t be i.e. genitals and breast tissue. My biggest priority is your comfort and safety.

What are the benefits of massage?

Both therapeutic and relaxation massage have many benefits. The most significant being:

What is cupping therapy?

What is Reiki Energy Work?

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy." While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki.

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results. Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use.
